Industrial fireless locomotive where the essence of its operation consisted in the fact that a classic piston engine uses the  steam supplied from the pressure vessel,  which was acting as a thermal battery. To located on such locomotive, thermally insulated closed container – a container filled halfway with water, pressurized steam from  other sources (stationary boiler house) was temporarily delivered.  After the end of the "loading" and  disconnecting from the power source it was possible to derive the steam needed for the  engine operation from constantly boiling water inside the container (with a progressive pressure drop of water). The fireless locomotives were used in industrial plants sidings , mainly in the gas plants, coke oven plants  and other chemical processing plants with an increased fire risk. The locomotives were built also  in Poland.  A preserved copy was built for Schlesisch Textilewerke Methner & Frahne AG. In the postwar period it has been exploited by the Linen Factory in Żyrardów, where the locomotive ended its service and was removed from  the records of the Technical Inspection on 26 November 1974 .
